Best Buy closed following fire
[5/29/2008] - The Best Buy store in the Heritage Square Shopping Center on Route 1 in Monmouth Junction remains closed two weeks after an electrical fire.   Calls to the chain’s corporate offices in Minnesota to inquire about when the store will reopen were not returned.   The Kingston Fire Department was alerted to the fire at 1:51 a.m. on May 11 when the store’s automatic sprinkler system was activated, according to Kingston Fire Chief George Luck. Mr. Luck said the store was full of smoke from floor to ceiling, and there was smoke coming out of the front-left corner of the building. link

[5/1/2008] - STOKESDALE - A fire forced the evacuation of a Stokesdale fabric plant this afternoon. Around 4:30 p.m., fire crews responded to Culp Ticking at 7209 U.S. 158 in Stokesdale to find smoke billowing out of the building. A machine inside the building had caught fire, but was almost immediately extinguished by a sprinkler system, Stokesdale Fire Chief Todd Gauldin said. link
