Small fire starts at Jackson's Art Van
[12/30/2008] - Sprinklers contained an electrical fire to a mattress Tuesday morning at Art Van Furniture in Jackson.
Firefighters from Jackson and surrounding townships responded to the fire alarm at 8:30 a.m. to find the store at 950 N. West Ave. filled with smoke. A sprinkler triggered by heat had already doused the flames, a fire official said.

Fire damages Oxnard restaurant
[12/30/2008] - An Oxnard restaurant was damaged by fire early this morning, authorities said.
Firefighters responded about 12:30 a.m. to Bamboo Stix, 1051 S. Oxnard Blvd., after passing motorists reported smoke coming from the building, said Battalion Chief Gary Sugich of the Oxnard Fire Department.

Fire damages Old Navy
[12/29/2008] - WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - James City County and Williamsburg Fire and rescue crews responded to an early morning structure fire at the Old Navy store, located at 5103 Main Street in the New Town area of James City County.
The fire began at almost 6 a.m. Saturday morning. Heavy smoke greeted arriving units from the main level of the building.

Updated: Sprinkler System Stops Fire At Conner High School
[12/29/2008] - HEBRON, Ky. - Workers are cleaning up after a Monday morning fire at Conner High School.
The fire call for room 114 came in shortly after 9 a.m. Firefighters arrived to find that the building's 2-year-old sprinkler system had knocked the fire out.

Fire damages popular Loveland eatery
[12/1/2008] - A popular restaurant in Loveland has been shut down by an early morning fire.
The fire broke out at about 4:25 a.m. at Adelita's Fine Mexican Food, 414 E. 6th St., said Scott Pringle, Deputy Fire Marshal of the Loveland Fire Department.
No one was injured.
